The Caswell Beach has regular meetings that are open to the public but few homeowners actually attend. The new Community Information Committee has improved citizen involvement in a variety of activities and projects. And Town's website provides an abendance of information--if people take time to review new content. But time constraints, travel, non-resident homeowners, and other logistics limit current citizen input.
Text messaging of upcoming issues for Commissioner meetings, reminders of events and activities, and requests for help can be made available to homeowners. Just like appointment reminders from physicians and pharmacies, proactive engagement with Caswell Beach citizens is the modern and effective way to assure good government.
I bring sound judgment, thorough preparation and a commitment to public service. I listen first, act collaboratively, and will work with town, county and state leaders to preserve and enhance the quality of life we all cherish.
